'Respect The Rule' - Rohit's Strict Stance On Pitch Invaders Ahead Of T20 WC 2024 Clash Vs IRE

India are all set to kick-start their T20 World Cup campaign with a clash against Ireland on 5th of June in New York. It is a start of another dream for Indian players and their fans, and they would like to start off the tournament on a winning note.

Rohit Sharma, the skipper of the side, touched upon various issues in the press conference ahead of the clash, and one of those issues was of pitch invaders. 

In recent times, there have been various incidents of fans running into the ground during the match for meeting their favourite players and Rohit too was on the receiving end in the practice match against Bangladesh.

So, Rohit was quite clear about his stance in the Press Conference as he stated that no one should enter the ground during the match. He added that players security and even the security of fans is important and one should respect the rules of the country that the game is played in.

"No one should go inside the ground. Players' security is important. Even security of fans is important. You have to respect the rule for a particular country."

India have not been able to lift the ICC trophy since their Champions Trophy win in 2013, and let's see how Rohit Sharma and his boys go about their business in this 9th edition of T20 World Cup.
