After a wait of 27 balls, England finally managed to pick one of the Scottish openers' wickets on Tuesday in Match 6 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at Kensington Oval, Barbados. Speedster Mark Wood did the damage, although happiness turned into sorrow in seconds after the siren began to go on air.

It was a length delivery by Wood, which George Munsey tried to slog, only to find a massive top edge. England skipper Jos Buttler called for it when Jofra Archer tried to grab it as well. Eventually Buttler safely took it, only to see Wood had overstepped and the wicket was not valid.

Buttler was not pleased at all, as it was a massive no ball by Wood, and hence, he had to pay his price.

At the time of writing this, rain has come back again in Barbados after it forced to a delayed start earlier. Scotland, after winning the toss and opting to bat, have set the platform, racing to 51/0 after 6.2 overs before the game was interrupted.

Despite the no ball, Wood was the most impressive English bowler, having conceded 11 off his first two overs.
