One of India's most talented youngest, Ravi Bishnoi starred in the recently concluded T20Is against Australia, claiming the 'Player of the Series' award for his stellar performances.

Picked ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal, Bishnoi rattled the Australian batters with his leg spin claiming nine wickets in five matches, which includes a two-wicket haul in the fifth and final T20I in Bangalore last evening.

Having seen his performances against Australia, Former Sri Lanka legend Muttiah Muralitharan praised Bishnoi ahead of the Bangalore encounter, calling him different from the rest. Speaking on Jio Cinema, the off-spinner also praised India's spin prowess, which has only grown one generation after another.

Here's what Muralitharan said

"India have always had a good, uh, set of spin in every generation. You see from Anil (Kumble) to (Ravi) Ashwin to now the young guys who have come. Bishnoi is different from any other leg spinner than any other ones. He bowls quicker and he makes slides the ball a lot and Axar (Patel) also is very accurate, not a big spinner of the ball and Washi (Washington Sundar) also is similar because he doesn't turn much and is very accurate and quite quicker."

Taking about how young spinners should be developed the 51-year-old explained the importance of bowling to the set field.

"I think the most important thing is for the bowler to bowl to one's field. Set up a field and bowl to that field. It is important to see the batsman's stronger point as well."

Meanwhile, Bishnoi will next be seen in South Africa during the T20Is, which start on December 10.
