Shakib's Note Of Appreciation For 'Childhood Idol' Dravid
Speaking to Star Sports prior to the Afghanistan clash, Shakib underlined Dravid as one of his childhood heroes during an attractive rapid-fire session, which the Indian fans would've loved as the great Bangladeshi cricketer marked his appreciation for the Team India head coach.
"Rahul Dravid was one of my childhood idols," Shakib said during the interaction with the Indian broadcaster before live action took center stage for the critical Bangladesh-Afghanistan game where the allrounder dominated the opposition line-up with his incisive left-arm spin bowling.
Shakib once again troubled one of his favourite opposition with a brilliant spell. The experienced bowler got three wickets for just 30 runs off his eight-over burst on a tricky surface that offered something for both pacers and spinners in the first half of the game at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
The skipper's exceptional spell of 3/30 was backed up earnestly by talented youngster Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who complimented his captain perfectly during his spell of 3 for 25 as the two Bangladeshi tweakers ran through the struggling Afghanistan batting unit and bundled the opposition for a disastrous 156 all out, before they chased down the total easily.
