Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian cricket great, recently voiced his strong support for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, stating that both players deserve a World Cup victory. In a candid interview with PTI, Yuvraj emphasized the significance of these two seasoned cricketers in the Indian team and urged everyone to give their all on the world stage.

Here's what Yuvraj Singh said:

"I feel that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma deserve a World Cup. So, everyone needs to put their body on the line for such a big stage".

Yuvraj's sentiment reflects the broader cricketing community's acknowledgment of the exceptional talent and dedication that Kohli and Sharma bring to the table. Despite numerous accolades in their careers, a World Cup win has eluded players for so long now, which has only intensified their hunger for success. Although, Virat Kohli did win the 2011 World Cup, Rohit Sharma is yet to hold the gazetted trophy.

His call for players to "put their body on the line" underscores the grueling nature of international cricket, especially in high-stakes tournaments like the World Cup. Yuvraj himself knows the sacrifices required, having played a pivotal role in India's 2011 World Cup triumph.

His all-round performance, including crucial wickets and scintillating centuries, earned him the Player of the Tournament award. Yuvraj's inspiring fight against cancer after the tournament further cemented his status as a cricketing icon that he is today.

As everyone eagerly await the upcoming World Cup 2023, Yuvraj's words serve as a reminder of the commitment and passion required to achieve glory on cricket's grandest stage.
