'Play 11 Batters, Kohli Can Bowl': Srikkanth Takes RCB's Criticism To A Whole New Level

Kris Srikkanth pulls no punches in his critique of Royal Challenge Bengaluru's (RCB) bowling display against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Following a humiliating bowling performance against SRH, where Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen dominated the RCB attack, the home batters staged a commendable fightback.

However, despite their efforts, they fell short of the target by 25 runs. Srikkanth suggested a radical solution - RCB should consider playing with 11 batters, and perhaps even utilise Virat Kohli's bowling skills.

In a record-breaking performance, SRH set a gargantuan score of 287/3 in their 20 overs, marking the highest score by a team in IPL history. This achievement surpassed SRH's previous record of 277/3 against Mumbai Indians earlier in the season.

Expressing his sentiments, Srikkanth remarked that he empathised with Virat Kohli's sense of helplessness as he watched the ball sail out of the stadium. Srikkanth shared these thoughts on his YouTube channel.

"Reece Topley is getting smashed. Lockie Ferguson was getting smashed - He has not done well in the IPL. He has traveled from Kolkata to Bengaluru. Will Jacks has been their best bowler. Better, they play 11 batters. Ask Faf du Plessis to bowl 2 overs. Give Cameron Green 4 overs. I think Virat Kohli wouldn't have conceded this many had he bowled 4 overs. Virat Kohli is a decent bowler," Srikkanth said in his YouTube channel analyzing match.

With just one win in seven games, RCB's chances of qualifying for the playoffs appear dim. Their persistent issues in bowling make it exceedingly challenging for the team to mount a comeback in the tournament. Another disappointing campaign seems inevitable for RCB, as they struggle to find their stride in the IPL.
