SRH opener Travis Head crashed RCB’s bowling attack with a 39-ball century in match number 30 of the IPL 2024 season. Turning up for his side at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the Australian-based cricketer pounded 102 runs from 41 deliveries before his turbulent knock was curtailed by Lockie Ferguson.

Travis Head’s innings marked the fastest-ever century in the history of the SRH franchise, and set up an emphatic 25-run win for his team against Faf du Plessis and his boys.

Fittingly adjudged as ‘Player of the Match’, the dashing Australian opener revealed what he did after his record-shattering knock and issued advice for bowlers all over the world on where to bowl at him.

Travis Head hails partnership with Abhishek Sharma

When asked what he did after shaping his record knock against RCB, Travis Head casually responded that he had a shower before eating “some good food”. He said:

“I had a shower and ate some good food.”

While speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Travis Head also hailed the batting-friendly surface of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, and credited young opening partner Abhishek Sharma for their splendid run at the top this IPL 2024 season.

“The surface played beautifully. We did get a feedback from the groundsmen. We thought we had to adapt in the opening six overs. But we had the batting order and they had the license to after the bowlers. Abhishek Sharma and I compliment each other very well. We feed off each other's confidence. I'm loving batting with him.”

Travis Head was also asked to issue an advice for opposition bowlers on where to bowl at him. He laughingly responded:

“Not sure. Everyone's trying everything. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but pleased with how I struck the ball today.”

Fresh from his match-winning 102, Travis Head will now turn up at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 20 for SRH’s subsequent challenge this IPL 2024 season. The ‘Orange Army’ is lined up to face Delhi Capitals in match number 35 of the tournament.
