Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters of current generation and Shaheen Afridi is fast making his name as one of the most lethal batters in world cricket. So, whenever these two come against each other, there is naturally lot of buzz and excitement among fans. To add to it, the rivalry between India and Pakistan take that excitement level a notch higher and it is always a fascinating watch.

In the Asia Cup 2023, Kohli-Shaheen came face-to-face in the group stage game and Shaheen Afridi managed to win the battle as he knocked over the former Indian captain on just 4 off 7 balls. It proved as a big blow to India and it was the partnership between Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya that saved the day before rain played spoilsport.

Indian top order has struggled against left-arm pace for a long time now but the former Indian cricketer and two-time World Cup winner Shaheen Afridi has dismissed such perception and added that Pakistan were lucky to get Virat Kohli's wicket. Sreesanth stated that he does not count it as a wicket and it was an inside edge. He added that he knows Virat personally and knows what would be going through Indian star's mind after Pakistan's celebration. He mentioned that he is just waiting for India-Pakistan game.

"It was unfortunate for India. Pakistan were lucky to get Virat Kohli's wicket because it was an inside edge. I don't count it as a wicket. I know him personally, which is why I know what would have been going through his mind after seeing Pakistan's celebration. I am just waiting for the next India-Pakistan match," Sreesanth was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

India and Pakistan are all set to go against each other on 10th of September 2023 in their Super Fours encounter and it would be interesting to see who wins the battle of supremacy this time around.
