England is all set to meet India in the do-or-die semi-final clash of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Guyana on 27 June. As the two teams gear up to face one another, England's Head coach, Matthew Mott, has made bold remarks ahead of the much-awaited game, claiming that there won't be anything better than defeating a powerful Indian team.

On a brighter note, Rohit Sharma and Co. have won all their games. On the other hand, England has had a mixed tournament. They were once on the brink of being knocked out during the group stage.

Reflecting upon the change of fates, Mott said that England needs to do a lot of work to get through to the finals. He also added that beating a very strong Indian team will be more of a reward.

Here's what he said:

""We would have bitten your hand off a couple of weeks ago to get to this spot. There's a lot of work to do, but a lot of incentive to get through and get to that final as well - and there'd be nothing better than beating a very strong Indian team in a semi-final."

Interestingly the last time India and England met was during 2022 T20 World Cup semifinals, when the defending champions defeating India by 10 wickets.
