One of the hottest properties in cricket, Harry Brook, has expressed his desire to feature in all formats for England. Brook, 24, has been approached by many league franchises for a multi-year contract, but the middle-order batter has shown no such inclination.

Currently playing in the ongoing Ashes 2023, Brook speaking to BBC Sport revealed his ambitions to only play cricket for England, and not much in T20 leagues.

Brook has appeared in 11 Tests, three One-Day Internationals, and 20 T20 Internationals for England since 2022 amassing 1,547 runs combined with four centuries and eight fifties.

Here's what Brook said

"I'm not bothered about all the franchise stuff. I want to play cricket for England. If I'm in all three formats for England, I don't really feel like there's too much time to be playing any other franchise stuff."

Brook, who gained fame in Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2021, earned an INR 13.25 crore Indian Premier League (IPL) contract from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

The Yorkshire batter further explained that only the IPL is available when international cricket takes the back seat, while other leagues clash with national duties, making the cash-rich tournament viable.

"The IPL is the only one that is really free when you're available for everything. Franchise cricket is a bonus, but I'm completely focused on playing cricket for England."

Brook, who has managed 271 runs in the four Test in Ashes 2023, is gearing up to take on Australia in the fifth and final Test which begins tomorrow at London.
