Ahead of the crucial World Cup game against England, KL Rahul has stated that they won't under-estimate the defending champions, who are going through a torrid time in the ongoing tournament.

Heading into the tournament as one of the favourites, England have won just a solitary contest, and have lost 4 matches. The team led by Jos Buttler are tottering at the second last position, and as a result, they need a miracle to somehow reach the semi-finals.

Speaking to the media a day prior to the England game in Lucknow, KL Rahul added that no opposition is weak and the England team will come hard at them.

"We don’t think any opposition is weak, they will come hard at us."

The Indian wicket-keeper batter also spoke about the importance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and how the duo provides solidity to the Indian team.

"It's good that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are scoring runs for us. They have been in terrific form and we hope it continues till the end of the campaign."

India sit at the second place in the points table. They have won 5 matches in a row, and remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament. They are only behind South Africa in points tally due to Proteas' superior NRR.
