Indian southpaw, Ishan Kishan has been enjoying his purple patch in international cricket. He will be playing his first ODI World Cup and that too in India, which can create pressure on the young shoulders. But he has played enough cricket and knows how to handle pressure situations.

In the league stage game of the Asia Cup against Pakistan, India's top four batters were sent to the dugout and Ishan Kishan along with Hardik Pandya was in the middle. Both batters added 138 runs together, where Ishan Kishan played a brilliant knock of 82 off just 81 deliveries.

Kishan has shown promising signs while batting in the middle order. It is good for the Indin team as well, with Kishan being a left-hander. On being asked about the pressure in the World Cup, the left-hander has revealed what his mother has told him.

Here's what Ishan Kishan's mother told him:

"My mother has told me that I've to win the World Cup for India at any cost, so there's some extra pressure (smiles)."

Playing the World Cup in the home country undoubtedly creates more pressure but it is what each and every cricketer dreams of. Ishan Kishan is no other as he revealed that there is pressure but there's a bit of extra pressure as his mother has told him to win the World Cup at any cost. No doubt that Ishan will do anything possible to make sure India lifts the World Cup.

Team India will be kick starting their World Cup campaign on the 8th October against the mighty Australian side. Reports suggest that Shubman Gill has tested positive for Dengue, which will bring Ishan to open the innings alongside the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma.
