Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old sensation who took IPL 2025 by storm with his explosive batting, has once again captured fans’ hearts- not just for his cricketing prowess but for his infectious humour. Rajasthan Royals recently released a hilarious video on their social media handles.
The video featured Vaibhav Suryavanshi engaged in a playful banter with teammate Nitish Rana, bargaining over bats in a witty exchange that has gone viral.
The Bat Bargain Between Vaibhav and Rana
Beyond his batting exploits, Vaibhav’s off-field charm shines in the dressing room too. In the newly released clip on RR's social media handle, Rana and Suryavanshi engage in a comical negotiation over bats.
Nitish Rana says, “Mai 5 bat data hu tujhe. Agar uska ratio 14 se upar gaya na…” (I’ll give you 5 bats, but if the total count goes above 14). Vaibhav counters, “Mereko 1 hi chahiye, baat ye hai... Mere age se agar zyada balle hue to mai apna bat ap jisko bologe de dunga.”
Rana retorts, “Meri bat hai meri marzi mai kyu du?” (It’s my bat, my choice why should I give it?), and adds with a grin, “Tere pas 10 bat hai? 10 bat to bohot hote hai, itne to Virat bhai ke paas bhi nahi hote hai” (You have 10 bats? That’s a lot, even Virat bhai doesn’t have that many).
Vaibhav’s rise in the IPL has been nothing short of remarkable. Hailing from a small village in Bihar, he smashed 11 sixes in a blistering 35-ball 100 to etch record.
Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2025 Campaign and Exit
While Vaibhav’s individual brilliance has been a highlight, Rajasthan Royals’ overall campaign in IPL 2025 has been disappointing. Consecutive losses in tight matches and inconsistent performances across batting, bowling, and fielding saw them slip down the points table.
On May 1, Rajasthan Royals suffered a heavy 100-run defeat to Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, officially ending their playoff hopes. The team’s inability to close out matches and capitalize on strong positions was a recurring theme, despite glimpses of brilliance from young stars like Vaibhav and the resurgence of Jofra Archer.
