After two days of cricket at Edgbaston, the third day of the England vs India Test match is poised to be a potential turning point in the contest. However, while India find themselves in a commanding position, thanks to a mammoth first innings total and early inroads into England’s top order. 

India finished Day 2 in complete control, riding high on a record-breaking double century from skipper Shubman Gill, who compiled a magnificent 269 to lead his team to a daunting total of 587. Their dominance was extended with the ball as they reduced England to 77/3 by stumps, putting themselves firmly in the driver’s seat to level the series. However, Day 3's progress may hinge more on the weather. 

ENG vs IND: Edgbaston Weather Update For Today

According to the latest forecast from AccuWeather.com, the weather forecast for Edgbaston, Birmingham on Friday, July 4 is not very favourable. There is 25% chance of precipitation during the morning session. Although the chances of rain are lower at the start of the day, heavy cloud cover estimated at 69% is likely to persist throughout.

The temperature will be around between 24°C and 25°C, which is comfortable for play, but atmospheric conditions could favour the bowlers. A strong westerly breeze at 19 km/h, with gusts up to 50 km/h, is expected to sweep across the ground.
