India Women is set to face South Africa Women in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final on Sunday, November 2. The India A men’s team, led by Rishabh Pant, have joined millions of fans in sending their heartfelt wishes to Harmanpreet Kaur and her team.

India Women, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, have had a rollercoaster journey in this World Cup.

After starting the tournament strong with wins against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, they stumbled with three back-to-back losses to South Africa, England, and Australia.

However, they bounced back in style, beating New Zealand by 53 runs to seal a semi-final spot.  In the semi-final against Australia, India pulled off one of their most remarkable victories ever to qualify for the final.

Now, ahead of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 final between India and South Africa, the cricket fraternity has come together to send good wishes.

Rishabh Pant, leading the India-A squad in Bengaluru, shared an emotional message for the women’s team on Star Sports.

“All the best to the Indian women’s cricket team. I know you guys have been through a lot of ups and downs during the whole World Cup. But you guys have come out with flying colors all the time. Let’s get the World Cup home, and the whole of India is watching you, cheering for you. Let’s do it for the country. All the best," Pant said in the video.

Pant wasn’t the only one rooting for the Women in Blue. His India-A teammates Devdutt Padikkal, Sai Sudharsan and Rajat Patidar also joined in with encouraging words.

India Women did put up a remarkable effort in the semi-final. Jemimah Rodrigues’ unbeaten 127 and Harmanpreet Kaur’s 89 powered the team to a thrilling five-wicket win, chasing down a daunting 338-run target.

Now, at the same venue of DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India, they will face South Africa on Sunday, November 2, to stake a claim on the trophy.

Interestingly, the two teams previously clashed in the group stages, where South Africa sealed a nervy 3-wicket win. Regardless, India will be banking on home advantage and winning momentum.
