Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh finds himself in deep trouble after one of his remarks for Jofra Archer sparked massive controversy in the IPL 2025. Yesterday, Rajasthan Royals had an off day on the field, as Sunrisers Hyderabad swatted them aside by 44 runs in the second match of the season.

Harbhajan's Racist Remark Sparks Outrage

England's premier fast bowler Jofra Archer had a forgettable outing, as the SRH batters belted him for 76 runs in four overs. The right-arm pacers failed to pick up a single wicket, registering the most expensive spell in the IPL history

Meanwhile, former MI and CSK spinner Harbhajan Singh, who was a part of the Hindi commentary panel, took a jibe at Archer.

"London me kaali taxi ka meter tez bhaagta hai, Aur yaha pe Archer sahab ka meter bhi tez bhaaga hai (In London the black cabs meter runs fast and here the meter of Archer runs fast)," Harbhajan said, according to TOI.

He made these controversial remarks after Archer was smashed for consecutive boundaries by SRH keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen

The legendary spinner received massive backlash for his comments, with fans around the world accusing him of racism and demanding his removal from the commentary panel.

Harbhajan Singh's Major Controversies

Despite being a gifted cricketer, Harbhajan Singh has had an eventful career marred by controversies. He was accused of racially abusing late Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds in the infamous MonkeyGate saga during the Sydney Test in 2008.

Furthermore, Harbhajan was suspended from the IPL following a huge controversy when he slapped his national teammate and former IPL cricketer Sreesanth after a high-octane match between MI and Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab of then) in the inaugural IPL edition.
