The ongoing Asia Cup 2023 has been gruelling for Team India, as the seven-time champions played for three straight days; featuring in back-to-back One-Day Internationals (ODI).

On Tuesday, India turned up against Sri Lanka and won a hard-fought encounter by 41 runs to qualify for the final of the continental competition. Earlier, India featured in a match versus Pakistan, which lasted for two days, starting on Sunday and ending on Monday (reserve day).

Coming back from injury KL Rahul has been the most active player, having batted on Sunday, and then kept wickets, and then doing both last evening. Rahul hammered a ton against Pakistan and scored a crucial 39 versus Sri Lanka while also excelling behind the stumps.

Speaking in the post-match presser, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain asserted that the past three days have been physically challenging for Indian players, but they have played like professionals. As quoted by India Today, the wicketkeeper-batter also expressed his delight over contributing.

Here's what Rahul said

"It was amazing throughout. It was a physical challenge for us. The conditions were not ideal. it tested us a lot and I think I was happy to see the intensity of all of us. Obviously happy to contribute to the team. Wanted to give partnerships for the team. I was out for 4-5 months so will take it whatever it comes. Me and Ishan had a good partnership and Rohit and Shubman started it. We were 30 runs short I felt. It's been good,"

Rahul further lauded Kuldeep Yadav, who starred for India claiming four-wickets and stopping Sri Lanka's charge.

Meanwhile, India have qualified for the final, and will face either Pakistan or Sri Lanka on September 17.
