In a stunning turn of events during the ongoing World Cup 2023 match between England and Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, cricket fans were left in shock as Jonny Bairstow was dismissed early in the game. Bairstow, one of England's key opening batsmen, fell victim to an impressive delivery by Afghanistan's star seamer, Fazalhaq Farooqi, just minutes into the match.

Bairstow's early dismissal left England reeling at 10 for 1, a far cry from the solid starts he's provided in the past. His departure brought a wave of anxiety through the England supporters, as they were left wondering whether their team would be able to recover from such a setback.

Farooqi's first ball to Bairstow was nothing short of perfection, pitching on leg and sharply moving in. Bairstow, attempting to flick the ball, found himself trapped in front of the stumps, and the appeal from the Afghan team was loud and fervent. 

Umpire Rod Tucker had no hesitation in raising his finger, and despite Bairstow's quick review, the decision stood. The ball tracking revealed that it was umpire's call on impact, sealing Bairstow's fate.
