Pakistan's renowned all-rounder Aamir Jamal demanded clarity from the PCB as well as the selection committee over his role in the team after being excluded from the Asia Cup squad. Led by Agha Salman, Pakistan will take on Oman, India, and the United Arab Emirates in the competition, which Jamal will unfortunately not be a part of.

Aamir Jamal Wants Honest Conversation With PCB

Hailed for his all-round prowess, Aamir Jamal burst onto the scene during Pakistan's Australia tour. Although his economy was a bit on the higher side, Jamal grabbed the limelight with his power-hitting in the Test series.

However, the PCB selection committee ignored him for the Asia Cup, considering his middling returns as a fast bowler in T20Is. Furthermore, Jamal openly expressed his frustration after the apex body removed him from its central contract, sending a clear message through a post on Instagram.

Now, as he has been dropped from both the Asia Cup squad and the central contract, Jamal has revealed that the PCB's lack of communication has left him in a state of confusion. Therefore, while speaking to a local sports platform, he demanded clarity from the board, citing he's fully fit to play for Pakistan, of course, if the PCB wants him to.

"So far, I haven’t had any conversation with anyone regarding my role in future plans. I need clarity as well—if I am not being considered in any format, let’s be honest about it. If you don’t want me to be part of the team, whatever the reasons are, that’s fine. I have been out only due to injury, but I have fully recovered and proven my fitness—I am 100% fit. I have been bowling with full rhythm and maintaining my workload perfectly,” Jamal was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Aamir Jamal has played 17 matches, including eight Tests, three ODIs and six T20Is, scalping 26 wickets across formats. His last international appearance came in the Cape Town Test between Pakistan and South Africa in January this year.
