Some of Pakistan’s biggest cricket stars are coming together for a special cause in Peshawar. Peshawar Zalmi, in partnership with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and the Directorate of Sports, has announced a Flood Relief Exhibition Match to raise funds for people affected by recent floods.

The charity match will feature a dream lineup of both current players and cricket legends. Fans will see Babar Azam, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Rashid Latif, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Irfan, Azhar Mahmood, and top spinners like Saeed Ajmal and Abdul Rehman in action.

The game will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Legends XI at the newly built Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Saturday, August 30 at 1 pm. The slogan for the event is “Khel Se Khidmat”, meaning “Service through Sports.”

Peshawar Zalmi Chairman and owner Javed Afridi emphasised the importance of the event.

“Cricket has always been a unifying force in Pakistan. With this exhibition match, we aim to channel the passion of the game into meaningful support for our brothers and sisters affected by the devastating floods. This is more than just a match – it is our duty to stand by them in their time of need.”

Tickets Prices Revealed For The Flood Relief Match In Peshawar

Tickets start at Rs 1,000, while VIP and VVIP tickets are also available. The Chief Minister of KP, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, and his cabinet have already purchased VVIP tickets worth Rs 50,000 each to support the cause. The 17,000-seat stadium is now fully ready to host this star-studded event.

All the money collected from ticket sales will go towards flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

For fans, this is also a chance to watch Babar Azam back in action after being left out of Pakistan’s T20I squad for the Asia Cup 2025. Once a guaranteed pick, the 30-year-old batter has struggled to make the T20 side since 2024, but he will be looking to make his mark in this exhibition game.
