After four days of nail-biting contest, the World Test Championship final is all set for a thrilling finish, with India and Australia needing 280 runs and seven wickets, respectively, to emerge victorious and add the WTC mace to their trophy cabinet. Although Australia will start as slight favourites, India will leave no stone unturned in giving the table-toppers a run for their money.

As both teams gear up for the final day, legendary South African batter AB de Villiers has extended his support for team India, providing them with priceless advice to seal a clinical win.

Taking to Twitter, De Villiers, one of the all-time greats of the game, opined that the Indian batters should take on Nathan Lyon to score briskly and keep their chances alive. He also urged Rohit Sharma and co. not losing more than one wicket until the second new ball is taken.

Here's what De Villiers Tweeted

"If India can find a way for Lyon to go at 5’s, lose max 1 more wicket until the 2nd new ball. You never know. The long and short, absolutely have to be more attacking against Lyon."

De Villiers seems astute in his assessment, as India should adopt an aggressive approach against Lyon. This will certainly unsettle the spinner, who looked threatening on day four, with the Oval surface playing its devious tricks.

Chasing 444, India are 164 for three at stumps on day 4, with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane batting in the middle. So, the ideal ploy for India will be to show some guts and give a fight, something that helped them script a miraculous victory against the same opposition in their backyard two years ago.
