Indian batter Virat Kohli has been making waves on social media recently, enthralling his followers with his profound musings. The right-handed batsman, who exhibited his skill and determination on the penultimate of the highly-anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) final at The Oval in London, once again took to Instagram to share his thoughts after an exceptional unbeaten knock of 44 runs against a lethal Australian bowling attack.

Virat Kohli's Instagram enigma persists

Kohli, known for his passionate and fierce playing style, posted a thought-provoking quote on his Instagram story, seemingly aimed at his critics.

"If we have too many worries, fears, and doubts, we have no room for living and loving. We need to practice letting go," shared Kohli on his Instagram story attributing the insightful words to Thich Nhat Hạnh, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk.

Coming to the WTC final, following a counter-attacking knock by Rohit Sharma, who scored a determined 43 runs in the last session, Kohli partnered with Ajinkya Rahane to forge an invaluable unbeaten 71-run partnership. As Day 4 concluded, the Indian team stood at 164 for three, with another 280 runs needed on the final day to clinch the prestigious WTC trophy.

While facing the daunting task of a mammoth chase, India encountered an early setback with the controversial dismissal of Shubman Gill for 18 runs off 19 balls. The Indian skipper, along with Cheteshwar Pujara, also fell victim to their misjudgements, adding to the team's woes as India's scoreboard read 93/3 after 31 overs.

Despite the herculean challenge that lies ahead on the final day, Indian fans will be optimistic as long as Kohli and Rahane are at the crease. With the dup showcasing exemplary composure and minimal difficulty in their batting on the penultimate day, the task of scoring runs does not appear impossible.

However, the pair will have to bat their skins out and rewrite history as the highest target chased at The Oval in Tests is 263, which was achieved by England against Australia way back in 1902.
