The Indian Premier League is knocking at the doors, as the eighteenth edition of the tournament commences on March 22. After an average season last time, Chennai Super Kings are gearing up well to face all the challenges in the upcoming season.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to take the captaincy role once again. He has warned the opponents, saying he stays silent when sledged, but won't hold back if his teammates are targeted.
Captain Ruturaj Warns The Opponents
Cricket World is excited to experience some unmissable T20 thrills as the IPL 2025 commences on March 22. After showcasing a transformation, the Chennai Super Kings are ready to enter the tournament under captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's leadership.
Even before officially leading CSK this season, Gaikwad has already displayed his captaincy instincts, sending a clear warning to rivals.
“If someone sledges me, I am more than happy to not say anything - but if I am the captain and if someone is sledging at my teammates, then I am not somebody who can hold back,” Gaikwad said.
The CSK Skipper Set The Sight Straight
In IPL 2024, the Chennai Super Kings went through a massive change as MS Dhoni passed on the captaincy baton to Ruturaj Gaikwad. After taking charge, the Indian batter led the team from the front. Even after Chennai ended the tournament in sixth position on the points table, Ruturaj ended the season as the second-highest run-scorer of the season.
As the new season begins soon, CSK is set to step onto the field with an exceptional squad. Ravichandran Ashwin’s homecoming is a massive boost for the franchise. After an average season last year, the team is eyeing a strong bounce back.
With MS Dhoni’s valuable presence and a squad filled with some unreal talents, captain Ruturaj will be eyeing another IPL trophy. As the tournament kicks off on March 22, CSK will face Mumbai Indians in their first match on March 23.
