Five-time World Champions Australia are struggling to find their feet in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, having won just one out of their three matches.

Led by Pat Cummins, Australia will face Pakistan today at Bangalore, who have won two matches but are coming off a comprehensive defeat against India, making this encounter mouth-watering.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra, known for his straightforward opinions, stated that if Pakistan wins the M.Chinnaswamy clash, Australia would see their dream of winning the trophy over, and vice-versa.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra opined that this encounter is a must-win for both sides, as the points table is stacked heavily in the middle, a loss for either team will spell doom.

Here's what Chopra said

"Both teams are almost in the same boat at the moment. It's not the same but almost. Both have defeated Sri Lanka and both have lost to India. Pakistan have won a match against the Netherlands and Australia lost to South Africa."

"If Pakistan lose, it will be two defeats and two wins in four matches, and it will be the same story for Australia as well. However, if Pakistan win, then Australia tata bye-bye. But if Pakistan lose, you can assume that their bye-bye will also happen soon."

However, the former KKR opener did give Australia the edge over Pakistan, given their bowling attack, which is performing better than their opponents.
