'If India Lose T20 World Cup, Rohit Will Jump Into Barbados Ocean': Ganguly Ahead Of IND vs SA Final

'So close, yet so far' was a sentiment felt by every Indian after last year's absolutely gutting final defeat.

Now, in just seven months, India has once again come close to turning their dream into reality, with the same clean track record, under the astute guidance and leadership of Rohit Sharma.

However, one can not fathom the deep sense of loss and defeat he must have felt last year, and this time, this one final time, he has the opportunity yet again to clinch that glimmery trophy and come back home as a 'T20 World Cup-winning' skipper.

Indian great Sourav Ganguly recently expressed how costly it would be for Rohit Sharma if he loses another World Cup final.

He said he would probably jump into the ocean if, God forbid, it turned out to be true.

Sourav Ganguly On Rohit Sharma's State Of Mind

“I don't think he can lose two World Cup finals in seven (six) months. He will probably jump into the Barbados ocean if he loses two finals under his captaincy in seven months,” Ganguly told PTI.

This year too, Rohit Sharma has been in his top-game having scored 248 runs from 7 games at an average of 35.43 and a strike rate of 155.97.

Moreover, the Indian skipper is just 6 runs away to script history by surpassing Virat Kohli and becoming the highest run getter in the T20 World Cup history.

All eyes are now glued on the India vs South Africa, T20 World Cup final at Kensington Oval, Barbados on June 29.
