Nitish Kumar Reddy has always been a fan of Virat Kohli. The star all-rounder has never shied away from expressing his admiration and affection for Kohli who has nothing less than a demi god for Reddy.

The 21-year-old recently shared a heartwarming revelation about the pair of shoes which he wore while scoring his maiden test century in Australia, were gifted by Kohli before that game. However, in what looked like a dream come true moment for Reddy, he received not just one but two special gifts from his hero that day.

Reddy recalled that just after Kohli gave him a pair of shoes, he got them signed as a token of remembrance. However, what happened just moments after, left Reddy absolutely stunned. After getting Kohli’s signature on the pair of shoes, Kohli surprised him with another special gift, this time a bat which left Reddy overjoyed.

"I always wanted a bat from Virat bhai but I was hesitant to ask him for a bat in Australia, but when I took his autograph on the shoes he gifted & he asked me to wait and he opened his bag and gave me his bat. I was shocked at that time and then asked Virat bhai to sign on the bat as well," Reddy said in a podcast with Puma

For Reddy, who has grown up idolizing Kohli, this moment of getting a bat used by him was something which he will never forget. It was a realization of a lifelong dream for him which highlighted his years of determination and hard work towards this game.

This moment perfectly encapsulates the beauty of this sport where a legend like Kohli continues to motivate and inspire the upcoming generation.
