India’s ace leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal remains determined to fulfill his ambition of representing India in Test cricket. In a recent interview, the wily spinner emphasized that playing Test cricket holds the utmost prestige for any cricketer, and he shares the same aspiration.

Chahal has established himself as a vital component of India's limited-overs squads since his debut in 2016. With an impressive track record, he has claimed 121 wickets in 72 ODIs and 91 scalps in 75 T20Is.

Recently in the IPL 2023 season, Chahal surpassed Dwayne Bravo's record and etched his name as the leading wicket-taker in IPL history, accumulating an impressive tally of 187 wickets. Despite his remarkable success in white-ball cricket, Chahal continues to nurture the desire to make his mark in the challenging realm of Test cricket.

Representing Haryana in domestic cricket, Chahal has participated in 33 first-class matches, amassing 87 wickets at an average of 35.25. Although he has secured only two five-wicket hauls in this format, Chahal remains focused on his goal.

"Every cricketer dreams of representing their team at the international level, and the pinnacle is reached when they don the whites and partake in red-ball cricket. I share a similar aspiration. While I have achieved considerable success in white-ball cricket, the red-ball format remains on my checklist, "

"I still dream of earning the distinction of being a 'Test cricketer' alongside my name. I strive to give my best in domestic and Ranji Trophy matches, aiming to fulfill this longstanding dream. I remain hopeful of receiving the opportunity to represent the Indian Test team in the near future."

Chahal's determination and unwavering focus reflect his burning desire to conquer the challenges of Test cricket and add a new chapter to his illustrious career.
