The World Cup is right around the corner, and the teams are pumped up for the upcoming season. Jasprit Bumrah has made a return to the Indian team and is looking in great shape ahead of the big event. In a recent interview, Chris Woakes, England's premier fast bowler, rated Bumrah as the number one bowler in white ball cricket.
Bumrah made his return to international cricket after almost a year. On his comeback, he looked impressive and bowled brilliant spells in the Asia Cup 2023.
India won the Asia Cup, and the Indian seamers were fantastic throughout the tournament.

Woakes named Jasprit Bumrah as the number-one bowler across all formats. He ignored the top-ranked bowlers like Mitchell Starc, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Pat Cummins. He also explained why he rates the Indian speedster higher than anyone, as he believes Bumrah has all the qualities a white ball bowler should have.
"Jasprit Bumrah is the number one I think, probably across all formats. He is pretty sensational with what he does and he is unique, right? His action is different to anyone else and he has got high pace, a gun slower ball and a yorker on tap- everything you need as a white ball bowler," Woakes said.
Woakes was a part of the 2019 World Cup-winning England team and has been selected for the upcoming edition of the tournament. He is known for swinging the ball both ways and has been with the English team for quite a while now. England will play their World Cup opener on October 5 against New Zealand.
