In the latest development, Ravichandran Ashwin, India's veteran off-spinner, lauded Jasprit Bumrah for his significant contribution to Indian Cricket. Praising Bumrah’s performance, Ashwin referred to the 30-year-old as the "Kohinoor diamond of Indian cricket." He appreciated Bumrah's consistency and ability to lead India’s pace attack with precision.

Jasprit Bumrah's Contribution In The First Test Match

One of the highlights of the recently concluded first Test match against Bangladesh was Jasprit Bumrah's return to Test Cricket after a long break. As he was making his return to red-ball format after almost six months, all eyes were on him. 

As per expectations, the star pacer played a crucial role in India's victory and continued with his excellent form by taking four wickets in Bangladesh's first innings. He added another wicket in the second innings, making it five wickets in total for the match.

Ashwin Lauds Jasprit Bumrah's Dedication and Skills 

Ashwin, speaking on his YouTube channel a day after the conclusion of the first India-Bangladesh Test, stated that Jasprit Bumrah consistently delivers at speeds of 145 km/h even under the blazing sun.

Just like these people have taken the Kohinoor diamond, the Kohinoor diamond of Indian cricket nowadays is Jasprit Bumrah. Whatever he wants to say, let him say it. Accept it.) He said. 

He further added that the fast-bowlers unwavering dedication and exceptional skills have solidified his position as the best in India, making him the crown jewel of Indian cricket. His remarkable talent speaks for itself, and it's undeniable.

India will now look forward to maintaining its dominance in the series as it heads to Kanpur for the second and final Test, which will begin on Friday, September 27, at Green Park Stadium.
