Indian seamer Prasidh Krishna praised Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy style, noting that it reflects his batting and leadership. Krishna highlighted Suryakumar's trust in the team, emphasising the freedom to execute plans with mutual trust among the players.

In the second T20I at the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, India dominated Australia, securing a convincing 44-run victory. Star openers Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, and Ruturaj Gaikwad all contributed with half-centuries, propelling India to a formidable total of 235 in their allotted 20 overs.

India's key pacer, Prasidh Krishna, played a crucial role by taking three wickets, leading to Australia's struggle as they managed to score only 191/9, resulting in a 44-run loss.

"I think it shows in the way he (Suryakumar) bats is very similar in his captaincy as well. He trusts his players, backs all of us to do what we want to do and he's there right behind us to support if there's anything going wrong. That's been the name of the game and then that's the word around freedom, go and execute your plans out there and everyone trusts each other in the team,"  said Prasidh Krishna on Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy.

Bowling in the latter part of the game at the Greenfield Stadium posed a significant challenge for the bowlers, especially with dew coming in. However, Krishna acknowledged that the experiences gained as part of the World Cup 2023 squad contributed significantly to his performance.

"Being a part of the World Cup squad was massive learning for me. That's the biggest learning curve I've had since I've been a part of the team. I got to learn a lot the way people prepare the amount of information that you can take, looking at the surface, the situation, the condition, the batsman and all of those things," Krishna added.

Prasidh struggled with his line and lengths in his first over, conceding 20 runs as his short deliveries didn't yield the desired outcomes. Despite a tough dropped catch of Steve Smith, who later fell to Prasidh, the pacer's lines were inconsistent.

However, he bounced back impressively in his third over, claiming two wickets by dismantling the stumps, ultimately finishing with figures of 3/41. Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy stood out as he maintained faith in Prasidh, showcasing effective leadership in a high-scoring match where bowlers were under pressure.
