Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh expressed confidence in India's ability to make a strong comeback with the bat in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. After the Australian team dominated the opening day of the Test at The Oval, London by scoring 327 runs for the loss of only three wickets, Harbhajan believes that India has the potential to perform well and turn the game around.

Australia got off to a commanding start in the Test match, with Travis Head scoring an impressive century and Steve Smith being just five runs away from reaching his own century. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field, taking into consideration the overcast conditions. Early in the innings, the Australians were reduced to 76/3.

However, Head and Smith dominated the Indian bowlers for the remainder of the day, punishing them with their batting prowess. Despite Australia's strong performance, Harbhajan remains optimistic about India's chances in the match.

On his YouTube channel, Harbhajan stated that The Oval is considered one of the best pitches for batting in England and it is expected to improve further as the game progresses. He believes that India's batters are currently in good form.

"The Oval is perhaps the best pitch to bat on in England, and it will be better to bat on as the game goes on. I don't think India will have any difficulties batting on this wicket. (Shubman) Gill and (Virat) Kohli are in good form, the weather has opened up, and there is not much cloud cover as well,"  Harbhajan Singh said on his YouTube channel.

With Harbhajan's confidence in India's batting lineup and the favorable conditions at The Oval, the team will be looking to regroup and stage a strong comeback in the game, aiming to put up a competitive performance against Australia.
