After toiling extremely hard on the first day, India got some respite in the first session on day 2 of the World Test Championship final, getting rid of Travis Head and Cameron Green in quick succession. While Head departed for 163, Shubman Gill took a fabulous catch to send Green back to the dugout for six.

The incident occurred in the 95th over of the Australian innings, when Rohit Sharma brought Mohammed Shami into the attack with Green and Smith batting in the middle. After bowling a dot ball, Shami managed to draw an outside edge off Green's bat, as the ball flew towards Gill, positioned at the second slip.

The youngster from Punjab exhibited quick reflexes and tremendous athleticism, holding on to the catch and leaving the batter shell-shocked.

The breakthrough was provided the Indian players with a sigh of relief, as they were searching for quick wickets, with Australia marching towards the 400-run mark. Although Shami bowled a good delivery, the credit for the dismissal goes to Gill, who plucked a sensational catch.

Meanwhile, India are fighting to make a comeback in the Test match at the moment. After being invited to bat first, Australia are well on course for a massive first innings total, placed at 382 for five in 97 overs at the time of writing.
