“The greatest Indian Test wicketkeeper is back!” tweeted Parth Jindal, owner of Delhi Capitals, as Rishabh Pant made a sensational return to Test cricket, scoring a scintillating century on day four of the first Test against Bangladesh at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

After being sidelined for nearly two years due to injury, Rishabh Pant’s explosive 101* off just 124 balls was a clear reminder of what Team India had been missing—a game-changer who turns the tide of the match in the blink of an eye.

Parth Jindal praised Rishabh Pant’s heroic return to Tests

Pant’s innings was the stuff dreams are made of. His fearless knock, laced with 11 fours and four sixes, came at a brisk strike rate of 81.45, putting Bangladesh on the back foot. The southpaw showed the kind of attacking intent he’s known for, almost as if he was never away from the game.

Parth Jindal’s tweet summed up the nation's sentiments: “The greatest Indian test wicketkeeper is back - very happy to see your comeback @RishabhPant17 - keep it going - our country has missed you!”

Indeed, Pant’s return has been music to the ears of Indian cricket fans, who’ve long awaited his dynamic presence on the field. Jindal’s words are proof of the value Pant brings to any team he’s part of, be it the national side or the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.

India’s Grip Tightens on the Test

Pant’s century, alongside a well-constructed 87* from Shubman Gill, has firmly put India in the driver’s seat in the opening Test.

Earlier, India posted a respectable 376 in their first innings, before their bowlers ran riot, bundling Bangladesh out for a paltry 149.

At the time of writing, India is at 225/3. With Pant leading the charge on 101* and Gill looking comfortable, India appears poised to push for victory.
