Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has been spotted at the airport, mere days ahead of the team’s opening World Cup 2023 shootout against Australia. He is expected to join the rest of his teammates for their tournament crusade on October 4, i.e., a day prior to the opening match of the tournament between England and New Zealand.

Virat Kohli, who will start out as one of the senior members of the Indian team at the World Cup 2023, was seen heading into the airport on his way to join his teammates at their training camp.

The ‘Men in Blue’ recently camped out at Assam Stadium in Guwahati for their World Cup 2023 warm-up fixtures against England and Netherlands. Unfortunately for Rohit Sharma and co., both their matches were washed out owing to ceaseless rains at the venue.

Regardless, the Indian team is set to be boosted by the return of veteran batter Virat Kohli, as he was spotted making his way to the Mumbai International Airport on October 3.

In the meantime, the Indian team is slated to launch their tournament campaign with a match against five-time winners Australia. Their much-awaited bout is slated to be played out at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8.

Roughly a week later, at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, they will go up against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 14.
