Legendary spinner Saqlain Mushtaq remains unperturbed by India's potential denial to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. Notably, Pakistan will conduct the marquee ICC event next year on home soil.

However, the Men in Blue's travel to the neighbouring country is in jeopardy as the BCCI has yet to get the Indian Government's approval.

Meanwhile, spin-bowling great Saqlain Mushtaq believes that it won't matter if the Indian team doesn't come to Pakistan for the mega event.

As quoted by Cricket Pakistan, Saqlain stated that it doesn't make sense for the PCB to request the BCCI to send its star-studded team. He also reckoned that India should think beyond politics as it's an ICC event.

"It's simple. If India wants to come, they can. If they don't want to come, it doesn't matter. There's no point in making a fuss about it. This won't make either party good or bad. This is ICC's event, and they will look into this matter, as they should," Saqlain Mushtaq said.

As things currently stand, the BCCI hasn't released a formal statement regarding the matter. However, the BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has revealed that the governing body hasn't received a positive response from the Indian government so far. In such a scenario, the chances of India's travel to Pakistan seem bleak.
