Virat Kohli Pulls Off The Greatest Heist In T20Is

India needed 28 off 8 and and it was in that pressure-cooker of a situation that Virat Kohli unleashed his magic. The first six, especially was unbelievable with Kohli hitting a short delivery straight down the ground. The second was a pull shot over deep backward square leg.

It was quite a show from one of the finest batters of the modern era and now, after two years of unleashing that magic, Virat Kohli has revealed that he almost stopped thinking at that point in time and went completely blank. He was just thinking of hitting the ball into the crowd as he knew that the game was gone if he ends up missing the upcoming two balls.

"Pressure Itna Upar Chala Jaata Hai Aapka Dimag Band Ho Jaata Hai. Toh jo woh aap sochte hai na ground kaisa hai, wicket kaisa hai, ye sab thoughts are running in your head. Lekin ek time aa jaata hai then you cannot afford to use it anymore, kyuki agar yeh 2 balls chali gayi, it's gone. Kaun daal raha hai, kya dal raha hai, doesn't matter. I didn't look at anything. Nothing."

He added that he did not even know that the field changed after the first six, and it was Hardik who told him. The star batter also stated that he could not claim those shots and added that something greater helped him on that day.

"I think when he brought third man in on the next ball and fine leg back, I think Hardik would have told me. Maine toh dekha bhi nahi, mai ready ho gaya tha, agli ball khelne. I wasn't in any space to look at anything. The only thing that mattered is mere haat me bat hai, mujhe sirf ball dikh rahi hai. I don't think I have been ever present in my life in anything, that was surreal. It didn't come from thought, it came from something else. I can't even claim it. I did not push myself into that place, I felt like something greater was propelling me."

Virat Kohli's knock and that match will be remembered as all-time classics. It was indeed a game to cherish and one that no Indian cricket fan would ever forget.
