Chennai Super Kings secured their third win of the season by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk, despite KKR arriving with an unbeaten record in IPL. With this loss, Rajasthan Royals remain the only team yet to taste defeat in IPL 2024, although they haven't played at Chepauk yet.

Beating CSK at Chepauk proves to be a tough task. While CSK faced defeats in both their away games this season,  but they have emerged victorious in all the matches played at Chennai's Chidambaram Stadium, aka Chepauk. Former Indian opener and cricket analyst Aakash Chopra praises CSK's ability to clinch wins at Chepauk.

Winning the toss, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad chose to bowl first, taking into account the dew factor that could affect the second innings. The Chennai bowlers put up a stellar performance, restricting KKR to a total of 137/9. In response Ruturaj Gaikwad led from the front, guiding CSK to victory with 7 wickets in hand and 14 deliveries to spare.

Aakash Chopra hails 'amazing' CSK

Aakash Chopra posted a video on his YouTube channel, speaking the fact that Chennai Super Kings have emerged as an unbeatable force at their home ground this season.

"Chennai Super Kings are Chepauk Super Kings. They are Champion Super Kings. They are a team that don't lose at home. No one has been able to beat them at home. No one has been able to breach their citadel. Their fortress is extremely strong. KKR came prepared but nothing worked for them - neither batting nor bowling," he said.

Except for the Mumbai Indians, none of the IPL teams have mastered the art of winning at Chepauk. The Mumbai Indians stand as the only team to have outperformed CSK at Chepauk, boasting a 5-3 head-to-head record at the venue.

With the IPL finals and qualifiers set to take place at Chepauk, CSK is widely anticipated to be the top favorite for the IPL title at the moment.
