Badminton sensation and two-time Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal has hit back at KKR's Angrish Raghuvanshi over his controversial 'Let's see how she goes when Bumrah bowls 150k's bumpers at her head' after Nehwal echoed with Chirag Shetty's demand of recognising badminton players. 

In the latest events, Saina, appeared on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, where she broke her silence on KKR batter's remark and also hit back at the critics by stating that there is a possibility that Bumrah might not be able to pick her smash. 

"Few were saying I cannot survive Jasprit Bumrah's bowling. Why would I face him anyway, I love my life. Also if Bumrah plays Badminton with me, he might not be able to survive my smash".

How Did The Controversy Begin

The controversy began after the Maharashtra government feliciated Indian cricketers post their T20 World Cup triumph. It was then that Chirag Shetty raised his voice and sought justice for badminton players. 

Saina too jumped onto the bandwagon, when Angrish made that Bumrah remark for which he quickly apologised to the Olympian. 

Talking about Bumrah, he did not react to that matter and was even rested for the Sri Lanka tour. It is likely that the BCCI want Jasprit to take adequate rest before the upcoming Bangladesh Test series in September.
