On March 21, CSK sent shockwaves through the cricketing world by announcing Dhoni's relinquishment of the captaincy, passing the baton to Gaikwad.

The announcement came on Thursday following Gaikwad's participation in the captains' conference in Chennai, ahead of the upcoming championship. Since the inception of the IPL, MS Dhoni has steered Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five titles. 

Having observed Ruturaj closely, Suryakumar Yadav possesses profound insights into the new CSK captain's character. Without delay, he extended his congratulations and offered words of encouragement.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will be only the fourth captain to helm CSK. In the upcoming season, he will have the stalwart presence of MSD on the field, ready to lend support whenever needed. However, Gaikwad shoulders a weighty responsibility as he leads the most successful IPL franchise to date.
