Sanjay Manjrekar has been involved in so many big fights in recent years that it is difficult to have a count of it. On Friday, he was involved in yet another heated discussion, this time with fellow commentator, Irfan Pathan over Yashasvi Jaiswal's run-out.

After dismissing Australia for 474, India lost two early wickets in the form of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. The team was in a precarious situation when Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal stood tall and forged a 100-run partnership.

Huge brain-fade momemt led to Jaiswal's wicket

The duo batted with a mixture of caution and aggression as they frustrated the Aussie bowlers and for the first time in this match, India had the upper hand. However, the joy was short-lived as disaster struck soon. Jaiswal flicked a Scott Boland delivery towards mid-on and called for a quick single.

The only problem was that Kohli was looking at the fielder and had no idea that his partner was halfway down the crease. The ball went to Alex Carey and he dislodged the bails to dismiss Jaiswal for 82.

Manjrekar fights with Pathan

After the day ended, Sanjay Manjrekar and Irfan Pathan got into an heated argument as on one sided, Manjrekar blamed Kohli for the dismissal and Pathan defended him.

"Ball was going slow, I don't think Kohli would've been runout. It was Jaiswal's call. Maybe a risky run but he was at the danger end, not Kohli. It was a schoolboy error from Virat that he looked back and decided it wasn't a run. If it was a bad call from Jaiswal, he would've gotten out at the non-striker's end," Manjrekar said.

Pathan, on the other hand felt that Kohli was right on his part as he was closer to the fielder and had realised how quickly the ball went to the fielder and hence he was not interested in a risky single.

The two overlapped each other several times which prompted Manjrekar to say that "If you don't want to let me talk, it's alright".

"Irfan Pathan's new interpretation of whether it is a run or not, should be added to the coaching manual," the former cricketer added.

India ended Day 2 in a tricky situation as soon after Jaiswal, Kohli also departed for 36 as he played a rash shot against Boland and the edge was safely taken by the fielder.
