However, the man from India, Bumrah brought his side back in the contest as he sparked a comeback with three quick wickets, including that off Travis Head for a duck. At the end of the day, the Aussies were 311/6, with Smith unbeaten at 68.

Just like Day 1, the second day of the MCG Test will also commence at 5 AM IST. The first session will be played for two hours, and will go on till 7 AM. Following which, there will be a 40-minute lunch break.
The second session will resume at 7:40 AM, and will go on till 9:40 AM, before tea break is called. There will be a 20-minute tea break, which will go on till 10 AM.
After the tea break, the final session will take place from 10 AM till 12 PM IST, and the play could be extended for 30 more minutes if the designated overs are not completed. So, the two teams can play till 12:30 PM.
