Bursting onto the cricket arena with unreal talent, Bangladeshi pacer Nahid Rana is standing on the brink of a new chapter in his career. His unreal bowling brilliance has earned him his maiden PSL contract as Peshawar Zalmi has roped him for the upcoming season.
Amid the thrill of his PSL debut, pacer Nahid Rana expressed his deep admiration for Test cricket, calling it “the most prestigious format.”
Nahid Rana’s Plan Before The New Beginning
As the Pakistan Super League 2025 is set to raise its curtains on April 11, Bangladeshi pacer Nahid Rana is set for his PSL debut. The BCB approved Nahid Rana’s NOC after the first Test against Zimbabwe, permitting his partial availability due to workload management. Before embarking on this new chapter, Nahid Rana shared his vision for the journey ahead.
"For me, every game is important. I want to use the experience I gained from Bangladesh's Test series in Pakistan last year. I aim to learn from my mistakes and work on them further after returning to Bangladesh," the Pacer said.
Unwavering Love For Test Format
Even after making his Test debut last year, Nahid Rana has already secured 20 wickets in just 6 matches with an economy rate of 4.56. Before making his PSL debut, the Bangladeshi pacer expressed his deep passion for the longest format.
“My plan is to retire from all other formats before retiring from Tests. If I can do that, it would mean my fitness and other aspects of my bowling are strong,” he said.
“Test cricket is the most prestigious format. As long as I am fit and able, I will continue playing Tests,” he added.
The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League is set to go live on the big stage on April 11. Islamabad United and Lahore Qalanders are set for the inaugural face-off of the season. Peshawar Zalmi will face Quetta Gladiators on April 12 in their inaugural clash of the season.
