The Delhi Capitals set a challenging total of 221/8 in their 20 overs, and in response, Rajasthan could only reach 201/8 in 20 overs. Delhi's game's momentum shifted significantly in the last three overs, with them scoring 53 runs while Rajasthan managed only 20. This run deficit led to Rajasthan Royals' defeat by 20 runs at the end.

After the win, Delhi Capitals kept their playoff hopes alive and captain Rishabh Pant sounded confident in the post-game talk.

"The way our bowlers executed at the back end was the main positive and it was really good to see. We will try to learn from every game. Even when we lose or win, we will keep our head down and keep moving forward. As always Kuldeep delivered which was great to see. It was close to par and at the same time we were thinking that if we can restrict them to 200 that would be fair and that was the thought process," Pant said after game.

Batting first, DC's Jake Fraser-McGurk showcased his talent once again by scoring a quickfire 50 off just 20 balls against the Rajasthan Royals.

Abhishek Porel, partnered with Fraser-McGurk, gave DC a strong start with an innings of 65 off 36 balls.

Even though Delhi's middle order faltered, South African finisher Tristan Stubbs' late onslaught helped Delhi reach a good total of 221 runs.

In second innings, it was a battle between Sanju Samson and the Delhi Capitals' bowling attack.

Samson, who was selected in Indian squad for T20 World Cup, played a brilliant innings, scoring 86 runs off 46 balls, before getting out in a controversial dismissal. Shubham Dubey also played a crucial innings to support Samson's efforts. But in the end, it wasn't enough to stop DC from winning.
