Joe Root is one of the most consistent batters in world cricket, but has not been able to break into England's T20I squad for quite a few years now. He still plays domestic T20 cricket though, and is representing Trent Rockets in 'The Hundred 2024.' 

He played his first game of the season against Birmingham Phoenix and smashed 33 off just 19 balls with one four and three sixes in it. One of those sixes was the iconic helicopter shot made famous by none other than MS Dhoni and it was blasted all the way over deep mid-wicket with great swagger and skills.

It was the 22nd ball of the Rockets' innings and Sean Abbott bowled a low full toss outside off. Root went deep in his crease and played a stunning helicopter shot that mesmerized one and all assembled at Trent Bridge.

However, Joe Root could not carry on his good start and after his wicket, Rockets kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and eventually lost the game by six runs. It was the first loss for Trent Rockets this season after they started the season with two consecutive wins.
