With Test action all done and dusted, India and West Indies gear up to clash in a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who looked top-notch in the red-ball format, has been struggling to gain momentum in limited-overs cricket lately and will want to rekindle his old form.

Rohit's ODI record against West Indies is formidable, having played 36 ODIs, and amassed 1,601 runs with three hundred and 12 fifties since 2009.

With the Cricket World Cup 2023 just around the corner, India's most dependable opener would want to get his bat all warmed up in the Caribbean and take some confidence into the marquee tournament in October.

In this article, we list Rohit's top three knocks against WI, which helped India roll over their opponents.

#1 152* vs WI, Guwahati 2018

Chasing a mammoth 323, India were dealt with an early blow, with Shikhar Dhawan's departure. The then vice-captain was joined by Virat Kohli and displayed exhilarating batting in the first ODI at Guwahati, asserting his superiority.

Sharma struck down pacers Kemar Roach and Oshane Thomas, smashing the latter for 33 runs facing just 18 balls. With no assistance in the track for spinners, the current India captain charged against Ashley Nurse and Devendra Bishoo, amassing 76 runs which included two sixes, and six fours.

Sharma unbeaten 152 off 117 balls, witnessed as many as 15 fours and eight monstrous sixes, out of which four came off just the pull shot.

The duo added 246 runs before Kohli fell for 140. Joined by Ambati Rayudu, Rohit finished the job for India, helping the home side reach the target in 42.1 overs.

#2 159 vs WI, Visakhapatnam 2019

With the series on the line, Hitman turned up for India all gun blazing in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam in 2019. Already in red-hot form Rohit having scored six centuries, produced a master class in demolition against the Windies attack.

Slow to start off the race, Sharma took his time to adjust before unleashing a ferocious attack on the likes of Sheldon Cottrell, Khary Pierre, and others. Sharma struck his third ODI ton against WI in just 107 balls, before turning up the heat at Vizag. The Mumbai Indians skipper struck 55 off 29 balls, slamming six fours and three sixes, and finally got out on 159.

Rohit's 159 and KL Rahul's 102 helped India set up a steep 388-run target for West Indies, which the Virat Kohli-captained side ended up winning by 107 runs.

#3 162 vs WI Brabourne 2018

Having slammed 152*, Rohit suffered a dip in form, managing just 12 runs in his next two innings, and with West Indies looking to level the series, the opener saved his best for Brabourne in the 2018 series.

Sharma started off slow and accumulated runs in the first half of his innings, where West Indies bowlers managed to keep him under check. However, once medium pacers came into the attack, and the position of Team India settled, the Mumbai-born showed no respite and took Rovman Powell apart in the 27th over.

With floodgates all opened, Rohit launched an all-out attack and scored 85 runs off merely 56 balls in the second half of his knock. Rohit, eventually, missed out on his fourth double ton, getting out on 162, which included 20 fours and four sixes.

Ambati Rayudu also scored 100, and India posted a mammoth 378-run target for Windies, which they fell short by 224 runs.
