Even though the Hurricanes took away the win, David Warner’s unbeaten century grabbed the limelight. Hanging up his boots from international cricket, the Australian star looked in the old red-hot form, and fans enjoyed every bit of it.

He raced to a crucial half-century in just 36 balls and didn’t stop there, blasting his way to a brilliant century off 58 deliveries. Being unbeaten on 121 runs in just 64 deliveries, he became the third-oldest batter of the BBL to score a century.

2. Shane Watson (37 years 214 days)

Over the years, the Australian all-rounders made waves, and Shane Watson is a shining star of the list. In the 2019 BBL, the 37-year-old stunned the cricketing world with a swashbuckling century that still echoes in fans’ memories.

Facing the Brisbane Heat, he looked amazing as he smashed a 37-ball fifty. As the Heat eyed domination, Watson had more to deliver. Smashing a 61-ball hundred, he pushed Thunders to a safe total. Even though the match ended with no result, he became the second-oldest batter to score a BBL century.

Against the Hobart Hurricanes, Warner was in sublime form, delivering a masterclass innings that had fans on their feet. Taking up the charge, Warner scored a fifty in 28 balls and steadied Thunder’s innings. As the Hurricanes' bowlers tried to reassert control, he flipped the game on its head with a stunning 57-ball century. The destruction didn’t stop there as he remained unbeaten in 130 runs in just 65 deliveries with a whopping strike rate of 200.00. With that, he became the oldest batter to smash a BBL ton.
