5. KL Rahul - 208 Sixes

At number five on this list is current Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter, KL Rahul, who has smacked 208 sixes so far in the 145 games he has featured in. Rahul made his debut in 2013 and has since been an integral part of the league, scoring 5,222 runs at an average of 46.21 with a strike rate of 136.02, along with 40 half-centuries and five centuries to his name. 4. Sanju Samson - 219 Sixes

On number four on this list is current Rajasthan Royals skipper, Sanju Samson, who, after playing 177 matches in the tournament, has 219 sixes to his name, having played for just two franchises, Delhi Capitals and RR. Samson has accumulated 4,704 runs at an average of 30.94 with a strike rate of 139.04.

Not just with the bat, Samson has done an incredible job behind the stumps while leading his side beautifully so far as captain. Samson also has 26 half-centuries with three centuries to his tally.

3. MS Dhoni - 264 Sixes

Moving to the number three player on the list is the current Chennai Super Kings and IPL legend, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who stands at number three because of hitting 264 sixes after featuring in 278 games. "Thala," as he's popularly known by the cult following in Chennai, has been the backbone of the side since debuting in 2008 alongside the team and has led them beautifully to five IPL titles.

Dhoni has thumped 5,439 runs at an average of 38.30 with a strike rate of 137.45. Virat, who has played 266 IPL matches so far, has 8,618 runs to his name with a strike rate of 132.91, averaging 39.53.

The Indian batter has done remarkably well, scoring 63 half-centuries and a whopping 8 centuries. Kohli has been a proper legend of the league and is also not far behind in the tally of sixes, where he is the second-highest Indian six-hitter in the league with a total of 291 maximums.

Finally, talking about the number one Indian player with the most sixes in the league is India's ODI skipper, Rohit Sharma, who is also one of the finest performers, especially for his side, the Mumbai Indians. The MI legend has a record 300 maximums with the 300th six coming in the Eliminator game against Gujarat Titans.

Playing a total of 271 matches so far, Rohit stands at the top of the list with 7,017 runs, averaging 29.85 with the bat and a strike rate of 132.07. Not to forget, he also has 47 fifties and two centuries to his name in a career that began in 2008.
