T20 cricket has evolved into a format where batting firepower knows no ceiling, with teams routinely pushing the boundaries of what was once thought possible in limited-overs scoring. As aggression, innovation and fearless striking take centre stage, some sides have produced totals so astronomical that they have redefined the sport's perception of dominance.

Here, we take a look at five of the highest team totals recorded in T20 history.

5. England 304-2 vs South Africa, 2025

England mounted 304-2 in 20 overs in the second T20I of their three-match home series against South Africa in September 2025. Batting first in Manchester, English opener Phil Salt blasted a record 141* from just 60 deliveries with 15 fours and eight huge sixes. His opening partner and senior man Jos Buttler also smeared 83* runs off 30 balls with eight cracking fours and seven sixes to tear through South Africa's new-ball attack, comprising Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada.

Jacob Bethell and captain Harry Brook provided the finishing touches to the innings before England bowlers wrapped up a 146-run win for the hosts.

4. Punjab 310-5 vs Bengal, 2025

Emboldened with the likes of Indian international Abhishek Sharma and IPL cult hero Prabhsimran Singh, Punjab stormed to 310-5 against Bengal in their Elite Group C match of the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) season in November 2025. Winning the toss and batting first in Hyderabad, Punjab openers Abhishek and Prabhsimran started off with a 205-run stand in just 12.3 overs, with the latter chipping in with 70 from 30 balls.

Young Abhishek Sharma, on the other hand, clattered eight fours and 16 maximums in his record-shattering 148-run knock from just 52 balls. Ramandeep Singh (39 off 15) and Sanvir Singh (22 off 9) also scored quick runs against the likes of Mohammed Shami and Akash Deep as Punjab listed one of the highest SMAT totals of all time.

3. Nepal 314-3 vs Mongolia, 2023

Kushal Malla went berserk at number three against Mongolia back in the opening match of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou as Nepal racked up 314-3 in 20 overs. Kushal minted a career-best 137 from just 50 balls with eight fours and 12 sixes against an inexperienced Mongolia bowling attack.

Captain Rohit Paudel slapped 61 from 27 balls, while Dipendra Singh Airee charted a nine-ball fifty to record T20 cricket’s fastest half-century of all time. Nepal bowlers later bundled out Mongolia for just 41 to notch up a record 273-run win.

2. Zimbabwe 344-4 vs Gambia, 2024

Zimbabwe batted first and bashed 344-4 in 20 overs against Gambia in match number 12 of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier Group B back in October 2024 in Nairobi. Both Zimbabwe openers Brian Bennett (26-ball 50) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (19-ball 62) started off with fiery half-centuries during their blazing six-over stand of 98.

Captain Sikandar Raza at number four, however, went ballistic with a whirlwind 133* from just 43 balls with seven fours and 15 huge sixes. Clive Madande also slapped an unbeaten 17-ball 53* in the backend of the innings, as Zimbabwe recorded the highest total in T20I history.

1. Baroda 349-5 vs Sikkim, 2024

Mere weeks after Zimbabwe's 344 in a T20I, the Indian team Baroda aggregated 349-5 in a single T20 innings, doing so against Sikkim during a 2024 SMAT season game in Indore. Openers Shashwat Rawat (43 off 16) and Abhimanyusingh Rajput (53 off 17) both unleashed cracking cameos at the top before number three Bhanu Pania made 134* in just 51 balls with five fours and 15 sixes.

Shivalik Sharma (55 off 17) and Vishnu Solanki (50 off 16) also smeared half-centuries at strike rates of above 300 to further pile on Sikkim's misery.
