On Tuesday, Hyderabad opener Aman Rao smashed his maiden double-century in List A cricket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. The 21-year-old got to the special milestone on the last ball of the innings in the clash against Bengal at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
Aman Rao remained unbeaten on 200 off 154 deliveries, propelling his team's score to 352 runs in their 50 overs.
Previously, Swastik Samal etched his name in history books, registering a magnificent double century in the 33rd edition. He became the first batter from Odisha to score a double hundred in the history of the competition.
Thus, the ongoing VHT 2025-26 has been full of splendid batting performances. That being said, let's take a look at the top 5 highest individual scores in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
5) Yashvardhan Dalal - 164* (Haryana vs Saurashtra)
In the Saurashtra vs Haryana clash on December 26, 2025, Haryana's Yashvardhan Dalal, the wicketkeeper-batter, smashed 164* off 135 balls. His innings included 20 fours and 5 sixes, with a strike rate of 121.48.
Notably, Dalal scored more than 60% of their target on his own, as Haryana breezed home with 11 overs to spare and six wickets in hand.
4) Dega Nischal - 182 (Nagaland vs Mizoram)
Former Karnataka player Dega Nischal, now playing for Nagaland, amassed 182 in 130 deliveries in their game against Mizoram. With this, Nischal scored the fourth-highest individual score in VHT 2025-26. The Nagaland batter smashed 23 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 140.00.
3) Vaibhav Suryavanshi - 190 (Bihar vs Arunachal)
An obvious name in the tally, batting prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi. On the opening day of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, the 14-year-old smashed a magnificent ton to become the youngest to score a century in men's List A cricket.
In only his seventh List A game, after debuting against Madhya Pradesh in December 2024, Suryavanshi got to his century - his first in senior cricket that wasn't in a T20 game - off just 36 deliveries. He went on to score the fastest 150 in men's List A cricket, off 59 balls. He was eventually dismissed for an 84-ball 190, which included 16 fours and 15 sixes.
2) Aman Rao - 200* (Hyderabad vs Bengal)
Playing only in his third List A match, the 21-year-old Aman Rao Perala scored an unbeaten 200 off 154 balls to help Hyderabad register 352/5 against Bengal. Notably, the 21-year-old right-handed opener, acquired by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2026 auction, paced his innings to perfection. This was also Aman’s maiden fifty-plus score in the format.
1) Swastik Samal - 212 (Odisha vs Saurashtra)
In a star-studded 33rd edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Odisha's Swastik Samal scored 212 against Saurashtra. Weeks in, but Samal's belligerent 212-run knock, scored on the opening day of the tournament, still remains the highest individual score in the 2025-26 edition.
He smashed twenty-one boundaries and eight sixes, playing a pivotal role in propelling Odisha to 345 for six at the end of 50 overs.
