T20 cricket is not just about close finishes and edge-of-the-seat thrillers but also about those days when one team shows up and absolutely smashes the other out of the park. The cricketing community has often witnessed games where the scoreboard looks like a video game.

5. Czech Republic vs Turkey: 257 Runs

This one was a massacre in the Continental Cup back in 2019. The Czech Republic team went berserk as they bludgeoned a colossal 278/4. Sudesh Wickramasekara starred with the bat as he smoked his way to 104 off 36 balls with 10 sixes.

On the other hand, Turkey’s batting fell apart like a pack of cars and it looked like they forgot how to bat. The Turks collapsed for just 21 runs in 8.3 overs. Honey Gori and Sameera Waththage were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each as Turkey suffered a humiliating loss.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2027-25 saw Baroda go berserk against Sikkim. Bhanu Pania was unstoppable as he scored a blazing 134 not out off just 51 balls. Baroda posted a massive 349/5, with everyone joining the party. With this, they also posted the highest ever total in T20 cricket.

Sikkim’s chase? Let’s just say it was over before it began. Krunal Pandya, Ninad Rathva and Mahesh Pithiya tied them up in knots as they crawled to 86/7, resulting in a whopping 263 run victory.

During this ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier Group C match, Nigeria showed no mercy to Ivory Coast. Selim Salau smashed a brutal 112 off 53 balls, and Isaac Okpe chipped in with 65 off 23. Nigeria posted a monster 271/4.

Ivory Coast, however, had a nightmare. They were all out for just 7 runs in 7.3 overs. Peter Aho, Isaac Danladi and Prosper Useni ripped through them, leaving no room for a comeback.

Mongolia, though, couldn’t even make it interesting. They folded for just 41 runs in 13.1 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane, Karan KC and Abinash Bohara ran the show, as Nepal cruised to one of the biggest wins ever.

The ultimate rout happened in 2024 when Zimbabwe decimated Gambia. Sikandar Raza was on fire as he bludgeoned 133 off just 43 balls with 15 sixes. Zimbabwe went on to score a record 344/4.

Gambia’s chase was an absolute disaster. They were bowled out for a dismal 54 in 14.4 overs, with Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta taking them apart. This 290-run win is now the biggest margin of victory in T20 cricket.
